Job Description

Principle Accountabilities

The Legal Counsel will work individually and conduct all legal tasks and advice for Holland Dairy in consultation with GM and DGM and shareholders.

Important tasks for the Legal Counsel are drafting all agreements with suppliers and customers, advice Managers on legal issues, work with governmental bodies and secure Holland Dairy operates at its best within the Ethiopian Legal Framework.

The Legal Counsel will be all-round and flexible to work on several legal tasks within Holland Dairy.

Reporting Relationship

Reporting To General Manager

Job Responsibilities

Drafting of all Contracts within Holland Dairy (Suppliers, Customers etc.);

Organize and maintain contract registers and secure the renewal of all contracts, licenses and other legal documentation;

Write and organize all relevant documentation, advises and legal instructions;

Maintain relations with Government bodies and secure that Holland Dairy is operating within the Legal Framework in Ethiopia;

Work together with Legal Advisors from Shareholders and assist on projects;

Advise on Legal issues to Managers of Holland Dairy;

Take the lead in Legal issues and discuss with external lawyers on advise;

Represent Holland Dairy in court cases.

Job Requirements

University Degree in Ethiopian Law;
Legally trained and at least more than 3 years’ experience in previous legal roles;

Be accurate and experienced in Microsoft Word and be able to deal with large amounts of data;

Understanding of Ethiopian Law and have a decent understanding of the operating Framework of Holland Dairy and shareholders.
