Holiday Inn Bartender Jobs in Kenya



Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare beverages requested by guests using established pouring standards and drink recipes to ensure consistency and cost control.

  • Set up the bar including liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies; perform pre‑ and post‑shift work.

  • Check bar and seating areas for cleanliness and attractiveness, ensuring alignment with company standards.

  • Inspect equipment and machinery for proper operation.

  • Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when service should cease.

  • Greet guests pleasantly, promote, and upsell house drinks.

    Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Food and Beverage Service, Hotel and Hospitality Management, or related field.

  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non‑alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments.

  • Knowledge in inventory management, stock control, and experience operating POS systems, handling cash, and balancing daily sales.

  • Formal bartending training in a 4‑star or higher‑rated property.

  • Good command of spoken and written English; additional foreign language is an advantage.
