Job Summary
Operate, monitor and maintain compression molding and PET blowing equipment to ensure efficient production, equipment reliability and consistent product quality.
Perform preventive, corrective and condition-based maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety, quality and good manufacturing practices.
Support continuous improvement initiatives through equipment monitoring, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Operate assigned compression molding and PET blowing equipment in accordance with approved operating procedures and machine manuals.
Perform autonomous, preventive, corrective and condition-based maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and performance.
Monitor equipment performance and identify potential operational risks before failures occur.
Ensure machinery remains in optimal operating condition throughout production cycles.
Escalate complex equipment failures and recurring technical issues to engineering leadership for support and resolution.
Process Monitoring & Quality Control
Monitor and record critical process parameters as specified in Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
Make process adjustments to ensure products meet required quality specifications and production standards.
Identify process deviations and implement corrective actions to minimize defects and waste.
Support production quality assurance by maintaining process discipline and operational controls.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
Investigate equipment breakdowns and process failures during assigned shifts.
Perform and document root-cause analysis for major equipment failures.
Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurrence of equipment issues.
Support engineering teams in long-term equipment reliability improvement initiatives.
Production Preparation & Material Handling
Conduct pre-processing staging of equipment and raw materials before production startup.
Verify that production readiness requirements are met before commencing manufacturing operations.
Ensure proper handling of materials and prevention of cross-contamination during operations.
Support smooth batch startup and operational continuity.
Safety, Compliance & Workplace Organization
Follow approved safe work procedures while operating manufacturing equipment.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Promote safe
equipment operation and hazard awareness within the work area.
Implement and sustain 5S workplace organization principles.
Maintain a clean, organized and efficient production environment.
Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
Additional training in industrial maintenance, manufacturing operations or process control is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum five (5) years of experience operating and maintaining similar manufacturing equipment.
Demonstrated experience in compression molding, PET blowing or related manufacturing operations.
Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and process monitoring in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working within quality-controlled production environments is preferred.
