Principal Accountabilities

• Undertaking and supervising effectively, the formulation and review of investment policies, regulations and guidelines in order to provide a framework for prudent investment of funds;

• Undertaking and supervising timely the development and implementation of investment strategies and mechanisms in order to mobilise financial resources and ensure growth of the Fund;

• Undertaking and supervising effectively the mobilisation of financial resources in order to facilitate award of loans and increase access to higher education;

• Undertaking and supervising effectively the management and administration of the Fund in order to ensure accountability and sustainability of the Fund;

• Undertaking and supervising timely the preparation and submission of investment reports in order to facilitate informed decision making;

• Undertaking and supervising regularly the maintenance and updating of the Investment Portfolio database in order to facilitate storage, retrieval and processing of information;

• Undertaking and supervising timely liaisons and collaborations and linkages with key stakeholders in order to increase the investment portfolio;

• Undertaking and supervising timely the monitoring and evaluation of unit programs in order to assess their impact
and facilitate the development of appropriate interventions;

• Undertaking and supervising timely the development of work plans and performance appraisal in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance; and

• Supervising effectively, human, financial and other resources in order to facilitate achievement of departmental objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate;

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Accountancy, Full ACCA/CIMA or its equivalent; and

• Minimum relevant pre-job experience of 5 years of which 3 should be at supervisory level. c. Skills and Attributes

• Able to write technical and analytical reports;

• Able to communicate fluently in English; and

• Other Skills/Attributes: Supervisory,
Interpersonal and Analytical skills, Integrity.
