HF Group Manager Business Performance & Analytics Jobs in Kenya; The Manager, Business Performance & Analytics is responsible for enabling the Company’s analytics, business intelligence, and credit risk functions through the design, development, and operationalization of enterprise‑grade data products, analytics platforms, and data infrastructure. The role bridges data engineering, analytics enablement, and software engineering — ensuring that credit scoring systems, performance dashboards, and analytical platforms are delivered through secure, scalable, and well‑governed data solutions.
This role is critical in ensuring the bank maintains a robust data backbone, fosters cross‑functional collaboration, and continuously evolves its analytics capabilities to meet regulatory, commercial, and customer demands.
Key Accountabilities
Data Products & Back‑End Development
Lead design and development of data services powering analytics platforms and credit scoring engines.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs to serve curated data and analytical outputs.
Integrate analytics back‑end services with data warehouses, data lakes, and third‑party systems.
Enforce high standards of code quality, testing, documentation, and deployment automation.
Ensure application security, authentication, authorisation, logging, and monitoring.
Data & Analytics Enablement
Partner with data engineers and analysts to productionise pipelines and feature stores.
Provide infrastructure to enable credit scoring, portfolio analytics, and regulatory reporting.
Align exposed data with governance standards and quality controls.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
Lead, mentor, and manage developers and analytics engineers.
Foster a culture of ownership, excellence, and collaborative delivery.
Conduct performance reviews and support skill progression.
Allocate resources to ensure balanced workloads and timely delivery.
KPI Tracking & Performance Management
Define, monitor, and report on KPIs including system availability, pipeline reliability, and adoption.
Establish dashboards and reviews to drive transparency and improvement.
Use KPI insights to inform process improvements and resource prioritisation.
Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work with Risk, Credit, Finance, Retail, Commercial, Technology, and Operations teams.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
Support vendor engagement and ensure solutions align
with governance frameworks.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain auditability and traceability for analytics outputs.
Contribute to enterprise data governance and architecture standards.
Principal Outputs
Productionised data products and feature stores.
Performance dashboards and KPI frameworks.
Well‑documented, tested, deployment‑ready code.
Audit‑ready analytics outputs with full traceability.
A high‑performing analytics engineering team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
Master’s degree is an added advantage.
5–8 years’ experience in data analytics, engineering, or back‑end software engineering.
Experience overseeing cross‑functional teams.
Proven track record in operationalising data systems in enterprise environments.
Experience delivering dashboards, pipelines, and predictive models.
Strong understanding of governance and compliance in financial services.
Competencies
Technical
Knowledge of KPI tracking, reporting automation, and visualisation.
Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
Hands‑on cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, Hadoop.
Experience with CI/CD, Git, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools.
Working knowledge of ML deployment and monitoring.
Proficiency in Python (Django/FastAPI), RESTful API design, authentication.
