Principle Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement project management strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives

  • Oversee the entire project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and project teams.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the project management department.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners.

  • Proactively update Exco on project status, risks, and opportunities.

  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and effectiveness

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks.

  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans

  • Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.

  • Conduct regular project reviews to ensure adherence to quality guidelines

  • Develop and monitor project budgets

  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved financial constraints.

  • Prepare and present regular reports to Exco on project progress, financial status, and key performance indicators

  • Conduct post-project reviews and analysis to identify areas for improvement.

    Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
    Academic and Professional

  • Bachelor's Degree in Built Environment, Business and Finance, or any other related field.

  • A Master's degree in Project Management, Finance, Business management, or Built Environment is preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is mandatory.

    Experience

  • Minimum 10 - years experience in project management

  • Managed projects valued at least Kes. 20 billion cumulatively over the last 5 years.

  • Leadership experience: Must have led a team for at least 5 years
