Introduction

Heifer International is a humanitarian development organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty and caring for the Earth by empowering small holder farm families around the globe to become self-reliant and attain sustainable livelihood through economically viable agricultural enterprises. Heifer international Kenya seeks to fill the positions below to support its country programs

Responsibilities

  • Act as initial point of contact for the Project office by responding to both internal and external inquiries/requests
  • Working closely with the Administrator and travel agents to ensure that visits to the projects are managed smoothly, professionally and efficiently.
  • Plan and coordinate internal/external meetings: Coordinate project meetings and conferences for teams, record minutes for meetings and events.
  • Support and assist in the implementation of day to day KEMDAP operations: Prepare and monitor requisitions for KEMDAP office supplies and order as needed.
  • Establish & manage KEMDAP documentation and database systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned,

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management or any related field
  • (3) years' of related experience Most Critical Proficiencies:
  • Knowledge of the non-profit sector and the context to which non-profit organizations operate.
  • Strong scheduling and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of computers as a tool for word processing, communications and organizing. Must possess demonstrable skills using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills, ability to be a team player and to work with people of varied backgrounds e) Strong English language skills - oral and written.
  • Proficiency in basic statistics sufficient to analyze data
  • Ability to be accurate and attentive to detail, good writing, editing, typing and filing competences.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and carry out multiple tasks efficiently under pressure and with little supervision; ability to accept supervision and to provide entry-level program support
  • Working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to prepare and proof read correspondence for correct punctuation and grammar, and produce documents in a well-designed, attractive format with superior attention

    Heifer International NGO Driver Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • driving and maintaining the Heifer International- daily operations of Kenya Market Led Dairy Supply Chain Project vehicles, undertaking messenger duties and providing general assistance related to the efficient operation of the project office. The Driver will be responsible for:
  • Driving responsible for receiving international visitors, driving staff or guests to project sites, and running office errands.
  • To establish, manage and maintain Project vehicles; Comply with Heifer Policies and procedures regarding vehicle use.
  • Vehicle Security and Maintenance.
  • Be ultimately responsible for the safety of the vehicles and passengers.
  • Perform other job-related duties. Minimum

    Qualifications

  • Secondary education with an 0 level certificate.
  • Possession of a valid commercial driver's license.
  • Certificate of Good Conduct.
  • At least 3 years' experience working as a driver In a non-profit/developmental organization setting.
  • Excellent driving records and knowledge of driving rules and regulations as well as skills in minor vehicle repairs.
  • Certificate In mechanics is an added advantage.
  • Perfect command of both oral and written English, Kiswahili and knowledge of local languages would be an asset.
  • Willingness to take initiatives if necessary.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), is an added advantage b) Knowledge of simple clerical work.
