Handicap International Basic Needs Coordinator – Careers in Uganda


Main responsibilities:

  • basic needs’ assessment and analysis
  • definition of the Basic Needs’ intervention strategies and positioning for emergency response
  • external representation

    Qualifications/training:

  • Degree diploma in Humanitarian Action / Development studies or social fields (anthropology, psychosocial, sociology, protection)

    Experiences:

  • at least 3 years of experience in project management with INGOs
  • experience in running Basic Needs’ projects
  • experience in managing teams
  • experience in reporting

    Competencies:

  • excellent communication and representation skills, confidence in public speaking
  • English mandatory (oral and written), Arabic and/or French are an asset
  • ability to work under high pressure with a great level of personal organization
  • skills in using Excel / Word software
  • strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
