Gulf African Bank Sales Manager - Mombasa Jobs in Kenya


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive direct sales strategy to maximize sales opportunities.

  • Define acquisition approach for new customers, drive deposit mobilization, digitalization, and account retention.

  • Map markets and customers, coordinate campaigns, and execute territory sales plans.

  • Plan and coordinate sales activations, promotions, and incentives to meet business goals.

  • Monitor emerging market trends and leverage them for sales opportunities.

  • Ensure optimal sales team staffing and pipeline management.

  • Oversee sales team performance by monitoring DSR KPIs, counseling, and advising for growth.

  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain records of sales and performance activities.

  • Motivate team to achieve sales and compliance results through effective planning tactics.

  • Address DSR performance issues in line with Bank policy.

  • Prevent fraudulent or risky account entries.

  • Provide timely feedback for product and process improvements.

  • Contribute input on sales incentive structures to drive performance culture.

  • Develop direct sales operating manual.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field.

  • At least 2–3 years’ experience managing clients.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

    Managerial Competencies

  • Team Management – Ability to commit to team goals and values.

  • Performance Management – Ability to set and achieve targets aligned with Bank strategy.

  • Decision Making – Ability to assess importance, urgency, and risk to make timely, effective decisions.
