GrowthAfrica M&E Data Coordinator Jobs in Kenya


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously strengthen the programme’s monitoring, evaluation, and learning framework, including logframes, indicator reference sheets, data collection protocols, reporting tools, and quality assurance processes.

  • Establish and manage digital and paper‑based data management systems, ensuring accessibility and reliability across country teams.

  • Develop and maintain programme reporting systems for timely consolidation, analysis, and interpretation of performance data across four countries.

  • Build capacity of Programme Leads, Associates, and technical specialists through training and ongoing support on data methodologies, reporting requirements, and quality standards.

  • Conduct regular data quality assessments, validation exercises, and verification visits, implementing corrective actions to strengthen data integrity.

  • Lead programme learning processes, including reviews, reflections, and evidence synthesis, ensuring lessons are translated into practical improvements.

  • Produce dashboards, data visualisations, learning briefs, and analytical reports to communicate programme performance and support evidence‑based decision making.

  • Coordinate preparation of quarterly and annual reports by consolidating country‑level data, analysing trends, and developing clear narratives.

  • Support external evaluations, donor reviews, and organisational learning initiatives by coordinating documentation and ensuring availability of complete programme data.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of GrowthAfrica’s organisational monitoring, evaluation, and learning practices by documenting methodologies and lessons.

    Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Research, or related discipline.

  • Postgraduate qualification in Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Analytics, or related field (advantageous).

  • 5–8 years’ experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, impact measurement, or programme performance management.

  • Experience
    designing and implementing comprehensive M&E frameworks for complex, multi‑country programmes.

  • Proven experience establishing and managing digital data systems (KoBoToolbox, ODK, Excel, Power BI, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and data quality assurance.

  • Experience training and supporting non‑specialist staff in data collection and reporting.

  • Ability to analyse complex programme data and translate findings into clear reports, dashboards, and recommendations.

  • Experience supporting donor reporting, programme reviews, and external evaluations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an advantage.

  • Strong planning, organisational, and stakeholder management skills with attention to detail.

  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically across Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, and Rwanda.
