Responsibilities

  • Management and control of deliverables associated to time, cost and quality
  • Experience through detailed design, installation and commissioning stages of a
    Dairy project.
  • Manage the day-to-day working, utilization, implementation and technical consultants engaged on client assignments. From ensuring the correct material turns up before a job, to explaining the work ethics and activities to colleagues.
  • Report progress on projects by suitable media to sector management, maintain and update project reporting, checkpoints and financial reporting to a high standard.
  • Co-ordinate required support levels and training.
  • Produce reports on each project at agreed intervals, and whenever substantive actions are required.
  • Comply with all regulatory agency requirements concerning food, environmental and employee safety.
  • Work in conjunction with the Quality Assurance (QA) supervisor in maintaining practices in the Plant that assures product quality and safety.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in a science based Food Science/Dairy Science/Dairy Technology.
  • At least 7 years of commercial Dairy/Food production experience and must be familiar with dairy/food processing equipment and CIP systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be familiar with automated systems.
  • Must be able to manage a large production and mail order business.
  • Must have excellent supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work Autonomously
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Able to conduct community participation and mobilization
  • Experience with KOICA funded projects or other government subsidy funded project such as USAID, UKAID, SIDA, JICA is strongly added advantage.

    Responsibilities

  • To assist the construction coordinator in Head office
  • Overseeing and supervising all construction activities for the Dairy Centre with the
    supervision of construction coordinator
  • Managing all process for construction and registration
  • Prepare documentation for approval and registration
  • Building networks of project-related experts and influential groups to be involved in the dairy project
  • Assist in review of contractor’s performance as per contracts awarded
  • Assist in estimating bills of quantities/quotations for construction and maintenance repairs
  • Supervise construction of the dairy facility
  • Supervise contractors on site and report on works progress frequently
  • Assist in preparation and submission of monthly reports on repairs and construction.

    Qualifications

  • Diploma Graduate in: Civil or Building Engineering and Construction
  • At least 3 years’ experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD, ARCHI-CAD and MS Project
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel

    Responsibilities

  • Participating in collaborative research activities;
  • Disseminating livestock production technologies such as construction of livestock
    housing and structures, milk production, pasture and fodder production and conservation, farm planning, gross margins analysis, on-farm feed formulation.
  • Implementing livestock production programmes/projects in such areas as dairy
    cattle farming, breeding programmes, fodder production and conservation, value addition to livestock products, emerging livestock and other animal husbandry interventions;
  • Capturing, maintaining and storing livestock data.
  • Assessing smallholder dairy and feed value chain practices and knowledge in the project area
  • Conducting an assessment of smallholders’ dairy value chains ad identify potential
    interventions to enhance benefits to smallholder producers and other value chain actors in Kajiado County
  • Identifying and developing portfolio for intensification and market orientation of
    potential livestock value chains providing case studies in dairy for commercialization of production with stimulating rapid change in feed-related elements of these value chains.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:- Animal Science, Animal
    Production, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Range Management, Livestock/Agricultural
    Economics, Dairy Technology, Or Agricultural Education and Extension from a
    recognized Institution;
  • At least 7 year relevant experience
  • Certificate in compute applications.

    Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper implementation of financial procedures, systems and internal
    controls according to accepted accounting standards.
  • Select and enter data from variety of documents, ensure accuracy in calculations
    and attach necessary supporting invoices or receipts of payments and payment authorizations.
  • Record all expenses and receipts in the QuickBooks in a timely manner. Monitor
    the unposted items in the cash book and take necessary steps to clear them.
  • Initiate, verify and process financial transactions and payments for Head Office,
    Area Office and project offices related to staff and non-staff costs, purchase orders,
    local purchases, etc., based on authorizations received requisitions and other activities with the aim to ensure accuracy of financial data, adequacy of supporting documents and maintenance of proper accounting records.
  • Reconcile cash books and justify any difference in reconciliation; prepare cash
    counts and to reconcile with the cashbook on a monthly basis
  • Compare cash books with bank statements to compute gain and loss in exchange rate on monthly basis and liaison with officials of local banks to obtain day-to-day information on exchange rates, Prepare financial tables, special reports and other ad-hoc reports.
  • Undertake in the process of Internal and External Audit.
  • Replace and assist other colleagues in the team and perform other related financial
    and administrative duties as required.

    Qualifications

  • At least bachelor degree major in Finance and Accounting.
  • Knowledge of using Quick Books
  • 5 years working experience in Accounting and Finance field.
  • Strong computer skills in Excel and Word.
  • Good accounting concepts and knowledge with strong financial and numeric skills.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills.
