Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

Plans, organizes, coordinates and participates in the overall activities of prison TB/HIV project, which has been implemented in 35 prison sites.

Works in close collaboration with Prison health facilities, Federal and Regional prison administration, NTP, RHBs, AHRI/APOPO, GLRA Ethiopia team and other stakeholders.

Keeps networking with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of the project.

Organizes and provides training for GHWS and Laboratory personnel.

Facilitating and conducting review meetings & timely submitting its reports to GLRA Ethiopia Medical team leader.

Identifies/facilitates the supply of all necessary logistics that needed for the implementation of project

Coordinate and facilitate TB/HIV mass screening in each project site

Ensures availability of all necessary data collection tools in the project site

Responsible for identifying the project implementation gaps timely, develops corrective actions and intervenes accordingly by working with the project teams.

Regularly monitors/supervises the project implementation sites in collaboration with relevant stakeholder

Collecting and compiling project activities, and reporting them to GLRA-Ethiopia.

Compiles, analyzes and reports, lessons learned, challenges & gaps encountered with the corrective actions taken & recommendations.
Undertakes any other tasks/duties as directed by the employer.

Duty station:

Addis Ababa with frequent field travel

Reporting to:

Medical Team Leader

Length of contract:

one year

Job Requirements

Master degree in Public Health or related fields.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Experience on TB, Leprosy and HIV program management

Experience on prison projects

Networking skill, experience in working with FMOH, RHB and ZHB

Experience in working with non-governmental organizations is desirable

Planning and monitoring skills, ability to facilitate trainings and mass screenings

Computer literacy required

Good English writing and speaking

Ability to work as a member of a multicultural team is essential
