Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

The Audit Division Head oversees audit staff during audits and control and evaluate corporate management and operating practices.

Oversees audit planning, field work, and audit reporting; prepares reports, and communicates findings and recommendations to line and senior management.

Review automated audit work papers prepared by the audit staff to ensure sound audit theory and compliance with the department's methodology.

Responsible for the daily supervision of audit staff and responsible for the development of audit staff and the completion of performance evaluations.

Ensures that reviews are completed in compliance with the Corporate Audit Department and Institute of Internal Auditor standards.

Accountable for the development and coordination of the bank’s internal auditing activities.

Develop and implement internal auditing policies, procedures, and program.

Review of accounting procedures.

Survey functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations, and adequacy of the system of control to achieve established objectives.

Supervise or conduct independent audits of bank records and activities, and prepare varied analyses of the departments, and branches for management.

Supervise, conduct, and report on the testing and adequacy of the bank’s internal controls over financial reporting.

Investigate and determine causes of irregularities, and errors.

Recommend corrective action and suggest improvement.

Advise top management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors on audit, and internal control matters.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

Above 5 years of experience for BA Degree

Language skills:

Written and spoken English a must, Amharic and local dialects a plus
