Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Standards, Coordination & Alignment
Maintain organisation‑wide view of donor funding portfolio.
Develop unified coordination and accountability model for grants.
Promote consistent grant management practices across teams.
Align donor requirements with sub‑granting processes.
Grant Delivery Coordination & Quality
Support project managers and budget holders to track objectives, KPIs, and budgets.
Provide coordination support for complex, multi‑team grants.
Identify emerging delivery challenges and facilitate solutions.
Clarify financial requirements and support risk management.
Donor Reporting & Compliance
Coordinate donor reporting processes and timelines.
Consolidate inputs and provide quality assurance for reports.
Support donor compliance understanding across teams.
Maintain audit‑ready documentation and files.
Systems Strengthening & Capacity Building
Strengthen grant management systems, tools, and workflows.
Embed project management best practices and collaboration tools.
Build organisational capacity for visibility and efficiency.
Wider Organisational Responsibilities
Commit to Girls Not Brides’ mission and values.
Uphold safeguarding, diversity, inclusion, and data protection policies.
Line
manage roles and consultants as required.
Keep internal databases and monitoring information up‑to‑date.
Engage in personal development and learning.
Essential Requirements
Experience managing complex, multi‑grant portfolios in international development.
Proven track record coordinating across multiple grants (£1m+ budgets).
Strong donor reporting and compliance experience.
Familiarity with project/portfolio management methodologies and tools.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
Experience working in diverse, international environments.
Desirable
Experience in gender equality or girls’ rights.
Fluency in French and/or Spanish.
Familiarity with programme/project management methodologies.
Contract & Salary
Fixed‑term contract: 18 months.
Market‑competitive salary (Birches Group survey).
Payments in local currency of residence.
Some international travel may be required.
