Girl Child Network Project Coordinator - Garissa Jobs in Kenya;Responsible for coordinating county‑level activities and stakeholders in Kakuma and Dadaab, supporting implementation of the LEAP project, and working closely with government officials, schools, communities, and education stakeholders to drive systems‑level change.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate county‑level activities and stakeholders in Kakuma and Dadaab.
Support implementation of the LEAP project in line with GCN policies, partner requirements, and government frameworks.
Assess and analyze education systems to identify barriers, gaps, opportunities, and good practices.
Conduct stakeholder mapping and engagement to build coalitions for education reform.
Coordinate participatory processes for co‑creating education systems‑strengthening strategies and action plans.
Participate in education sector working groups, technical forums, coordination meetings, and policy platforms.
Support resource mobilization and promote inclusion across education interventions.
Prepare regular narrative and technical reports.
Perform other duties related to education systems strengthening as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Project Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Over 8 years of experience, preferably in the NGO sector, in advocacy, partnership‑building, networking, project implementation, reporting, and monitoring.
Experience working with public education systems and children affected by conflict/crisis.
Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to engage and mobilize diverse community groups and stakeholders.
Strong facilitation skills, including participatory training methods.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with significant experience working with children affected by crisis/conflict.
Commitment to human/children’s rights and rights‑based approaches.
