Job Description

Job Purpose

  • The main purpose of the General Manager’s job is to direct and manage the company’s business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and activates.

  • She/he is responsible for providing leadership to all areas of the business and can coordinate processes and operations across the company including, but not limited to, allocating budget resources, formulating policies, monitoring, and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, and engaging with key business partners.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and manage all business operations to achieve company goals.

  • Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business and ensure profitability.

  • Ensure preparation and submission of accurate reports on business and cost review reports for required actions.

  • Develop strategies to improve overall product quality and productivity.

  • Ensure Preparation of plans and schedules for planting and harvesting and ensuring staff understand expectations.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing program and recommend improvements.

  • Engage in key or targeted
    customer activities and identify business opportunities with new and existing customers.

  • Assisting in budget preparation and expense management activities.

  • Evaluate and recommend upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent.

  • Engage with financial institutions to ensure funding needs are met and business relationships are maintained.

  • Ensure that employee concerns are addressed in timely manner.

  • Ensure that employees follow company policies and procedures.

  • Schedule regular team meetings to discuss about business updates, issues, and recommendations.

  • Ensure scheduling of repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery are prepared and implemented.

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing Management, and related field.

  • At least 7 years work experience, out of which 3 years at managerial capacity in distribution and consumer company

  • Strong leadership qualities

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinker

  • Ability to make decisions in stressful situations

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skill

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Computer literate
