Purpose of the JobTo provide support to the core objectives of the GIG by designing foreign procurement planning and budgeting of the GIG
Key Result Areas

Foreign Procurement Implementation Control
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Develop sourcing of foreign procurement plan.
Formulate foreign sourcing and foreign procurement budgets and submit recommendations for the approval of requests.
Conduct foreign sourcing and procurement related cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation.
Collect, categorize and compile foreign purchase requests from departments in the GIG.
Undertake market assessment to ensure that GIG is receiving the best price and quality.
Prepare and send quotation requests for shortlisted foreign suppliers.
Collect pro forma from shortlisted foreign suppliers and submit price summary to the Management for approval.
Prepare foreign purchase order as per the specification on the document and follow-up timely delivery of goods and services.
Identify shortages, defectives and missing parts of the foreign purchased items, and inform the Chief, Procurement Planning and Analysis for appropriate actions.
Prepare payment certificate and submit for approval.
Maintain records of foreign purchases, materials and their substitutes, foreign suppliers’ performances, etc. to help informed decision over the foreign procurement cycle.
Receive items by confirming against specification, purchase order, and sample.
Prepare goods receiving voucher, record, balance, and carryout proper custody and arrangement of received items.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
Master’s degree in Procurement and Supply Management or related fields with three (3) years of demonstrated experience in foreign procurement
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Management or related fields with six (6) years of demonstrated experience in foreign procurement
