Geothermal Development Company Manager – Treasury & Investment Jobs in Kenya



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Align departmental strategic goals and objectives with the company’s strategic goals and ensure implementation for achievement of the company’s mandate.

  • Set departmental performance targets and work plans in line with the department’s performance targets and ensure their achievement.

  • Develop and monitor the department’s annual budget and procurement plan for effective and efficient delivery of drilling operations.

  • Provide leadership on staffing, development, and performance management programs while ensuring staff are motivated for good team performance.

  • Spearhead negotiations and build relationships with external service providers to benefit the company’s image, cost, and long‑term support on material and service delivery.

  • Oversee the establishment and implementation of a sound risk management system within the department.

  • Ensure drilling operations are on schedule and well orientation/azimuth is as targeted.

    Person Specifications
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience, with at least four (4) years in a management role.

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Agricultural, Mining Engineering, Energy/Geothermal/Drilling Technology, or equivalent qualification.

  • Management course lasting not more than four (4) weeks.

  • Registered Professional by Engineers Board of Kenya / Kenya Engineering Technology Registration
    Board or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Fulfilled requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
