Geothermal Development Company General Manager – Geothermal Resource Development Jobs in Kenya




Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of geothermal development strategies.

  • Develop policies and procedures to achieve geothermal development strategic objectives.

  • Coordinate and oversee geoscientific exploration and resource assessment, reservoir and steam field management, utilization of geothermal resource, environment, safety and health, and well targeting and resource optimization.

  • Direct the process of identifying sites, targets, and parameters for drilling geothermal exploration, appraisal, production, and re‑injection wells.

  • Provide guidance on well measurements.

  • Lead resource assessment, development, and review of conceptual and reservoir models.

  • Provide leadership on geothermal resource utilization, steam field and reservoir monitoring and management.

    Person Specifications
  • Minimum 15 years of work experience, with at least 5 years in a Senior Management role.

  • Master’s degree in Earth/Geological Sciences, Geothermal Technology, relevant Engineering fields, or equivalent qualification.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Earth/Geological Sciences, Chemical/Mechanical/Reservoir Engineering, or equivalent qualification.

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Geothermal Energy Technology or equivalent.

  • Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks (cumulative).

  • Membership in Geothermal Association of Kenya (GAK) or relevant professional body/association.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Fulfilled requirements
    of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
