    Requirements for the General Surgeon Job
    Must be a Kenya Citizen;

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBCHB);
  • Master’s Degree in Medical Surgery/ General Surgery;
  • Registration certificate with by the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board;
  • Minimum one (1) year post specialization experience;
  • Certificate in Computer Application skills from recognized institution; and
  • Good Communication and Interpersonal skills.

    General Surgeon Job Responsibilities

  • Management of patients/ clients as required in the specialty;
  • Give professional guidance to junior medical staff;
  • Conduct Surgical treatment and mentorship to junior medical staff;
  • Participate in health strategic planning for the county health sector;
  • Participate in other activities directed towards improvement of service delivery;
  • Any other duties that may be assigned based on service need.

  • Foreign degrees must be accredited by Commission of Higher Education (CHE).
  • Valid Clearance Certificate of Good Conduct, Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Tax Compliance.
  • Any other relevant supporting documents.
