  • G4S Deposita, a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions, has a vacancy for an E/Payment Product Specialist based at our operations in Samrand.

  • Reporting to the Research, Product and Market Development Director, the successful incumbent will be responsible to ensure the positioning of the Company in a manner that allows for Market Share Growth within the E/Payments environment and to become a market leader in the end to end client solutioning.

  • The successful incumbent is a self starter with a proven track record in delivering on customer expectations, demonstrates a high degree of commercial acumen and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

    Role Responsibility:

    Market Research

  • Screen Global and Local consumer trends and propose new innovative products that will allow the capturing of markets based on consumer trends.

  • Screen Global and Local suppliers of related products for potential supply agreements and partnerships. Fit for purpose relationships based on product needs.

  • Screen the Market for Products, staying abreast of the best in breed globally, and present opportunities / plans based on products.

  • Align to the Group & Deposita strategies and propose products based on Group / Deposita requests

    Product related functions

  • Perform Product related functions (with the relevant departments), both Local and International:

  • Product performance measurement with key metrics
    Pricing,

  • Brochures / Marketing,

  • SLA,

  • Spare parts,

  • Manage 3rd party product suppliers, including Contracts, SLA, monthly meetings, Product road maps, Pricing negotiations, innovation directives,

  • Set up internal / external development
    meetings and track progress through progress reports and highlighting potential risks and delays

  • Manage key customers and projects on product roll-outs/pilot/POC's.

    Product commercialization

  • Collaborating and strategising with the business teams.

  • Attending workshops & conferences based on product technologies, marketing and sales.

  • Plan and arrange, with the relevant teams, new and updated product releases and events.

  • Performing product demonstrations for customers, staff, and other stakeholders.

  • Assisting with the development of business plans.

  • Scheduling training sessions and attending meetings as required.

    Health and Safety

  • Participate in the design/development/review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.

  • Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks

  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people

  • Discuss all safety incidents on all levels

  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management

  • Attend safety education and refresher programs

  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace

  • Distribute safety information as and when required

    Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification recommended

  • Minimum of 3-5 years general management experience in a sales, marketing, financial services environment

  • Previous specialised industry and product experience essential

  • Proven experience in customer relationship management

  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of a company experiencing dynamic and significant change and growth.

  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), coupled with negotiation skills critical

  • Good strategic thinking, effective communication as well as strong leadership skills and capabilities
