Funded Traineeships for Young Graduates at the EU Delegation to Kenya

What We Offer

A trainee-ship of 4 up to 6 months for within the Political Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Kenya starting in May 2019.

Main tasks:

  • Actively contribute to the work of the Political, Press and Information Section at the EU Delegation to Kenya,
  • Follow Kenyan political trends to be able to contribute to political reporting and analysis.
    Attending, organising and reporting on meetings with various stakeholders.
  • Support the Section in organising the 28th European Film Festival, scheduled to take place during the month of May in Nairobi.
  • This year's festival will include movies from over 20 countries, as well as a number of side events.
  • This task will involve coordinating with participating countries and partner organisations, work on communication aspects and logistical arrangements.
  • With the Delegation Press Officer, regularly update the Delegation website and social media accounts.

    Important information

  • Before applying you are requested to examine the dedicated website as well as the general eligibility criteria for a paid trainee-ship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 – Paid trainee-ship)
  • Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses.
  • All costs related to travel inside the country of residence, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.
  • Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered.
  • After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview.
  • Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email.
  • In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.
