If a company is using a gmail account as its domain, is this a red flag?

A. Yes. A legitimate business should be using its own domain name. Very rarely will a big company or organization use gmail or yahoo mail.

A major red flag is being asked for money. This can be disguised as interview fees, medical fees, processing fees etc.

Employment agencies and people looking for employees never ask for money. No one has to pay to work.
