Job Purpose

Design, develop, deploy, and support banking software applications and resolve related issues raised by internal and external customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

Analyze business software issues.

Transform business requirements into technical, functional, and user designs/documentation.

Contribute to architectural and software design activities.

Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and maintain application software.

Recommend changes to enhance application processes/workflows.

Provide regular updates to the team.

Validate underlying data.

Manage customer relationships.

Ensure applications’ availability, performance, and responsiveness.

Person Specification

Result‑oriented with a positive outlook and focus on incremental delivery.

Ability to work long hours under stringent deadlines.

Clear focus on quality service delivery.

Strong communication and motivational skills (verbal and written).

Team player and out‑of‑the‑box thinker.

Key Skills and Experience

J2EE Framework.

Object‑Oriented Analysis and Design.

Excellent knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres, MongoDB, SQL Server).

Web services architecture, development, and deployment (REST, SOAP, XML).

EJB, Servlets, and APIs.

Familiarity with XML, XQuery, XSL, JQuery, JDBC, MVC.

IIS, Apache, WebLogic, JBoss web servers.

Knowledge of Test‑Driven Development.

Qualifications Required

Graduate in Computer/IT or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or related field.

At least 4 years’ experience in systems development.

Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX environment.

Experience writing Oracle/SQL queries and procedures.

Knowledge of core banking systems (preferably Finacle) is an added advantage
