Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Finance Assistant Jobs in Kenya;Reporting to the Finance Officer, the Finance Assistant will support FAWE Kenya in fulfilling financial requirements by assisting in preparation of donor reports and internal financial reporting, maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing payments, posting entries in the financial system, reconciliations, short‑term expenditure scheduling, timely remittance of staff and statutory payments, and audit support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of donor reports and internal financial reporting.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and process transactions.

  • Prepare payments and post entries in the financial system.

  • Prepare reconciliations and short‑term expenditure schedules.

  • Ensure timely remittance of staff and statutory payments.

  • Support audit processes by preparing schedules, listings, and reconciliations.

  • Champion use of MIS systems and support new system implementation.

  • Identify areas of cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

    Qualifications / Work Experience

  • Academic Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from a recognized institution.

  • Professional CPA Part II qualification.

  • Professional Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with progressive responsibility in a busy finance setup.

  • Professional Valid Certificate of Good
    Conduct (issued within the last 6 months).

  • Professional Proficient user of advanced Excel and practical knowledge of QuickBooks.

  • Professional Good communication skills, self‑confidence, independence, positive attitude, and team spirit.

  • Professional Strong problem‑solving skills, integrity, and professionalism.

  • Professional High level of confidentiality, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Professional Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and execution skills with accountability for results.

  • Professional Enthusiastic, decisive, pragmatic, and dynamic hands‑on individual with urgency and thoroughness.
