FH is currently operating programs in Asia, Latin America and Africa with support offices in the UK, Canada, Switzerland, United States of America and Japan. FH’s primary goal is to end all forms of poverty Worldwide.

  • In Uganda, FH is operational in the Districts of Adjumani, Kitgum, Lamwo, Kween, Mbale, Namutumba and Amudat Districts implementing programs in four main sectors of Education; Food Security and Livelihoods; Health/Nutrition and Disaster Risk Reduction; with the Head office located in Kampala.

    Position Summary:

  • The Project Coordinator- Health & Nutrition is responsible for Overseeing and ensuring that all activities related to project are implemented in a timely and efficient manner according to the agreed Donor Guidelines, standards and budget, and provide leadership and coordination for all aspects related to the projects/ Programs.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support to program development and planning.

    • Program management, monitoring and delivery of results.

    • Technical and operational support to program implementation.

    • Networking and partnership building.

    • Key Performance Objectives.

    Education and Experience

    • Must have a Bachelor degree in Nutrition/Public Health, Food Science and Technology, others from an accredited higher institution of learning. Post graduate in any of the above field will be an added advantage

    • Must have prior experience in implementing nutrition, food security, health and emergency interventions for at least 4 years
    with International Organizations or agencies.

    • Good knowledge of project cycle management for health and nutrition projects

    • Experience of community nutrition programming in Karamoja is of added advantage.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work in a multi-cultural context with basic resources.

    • Experience in liaising with goverment officials, other NGOs, donors e.g. EU/ECHO, USAID/OFDA, DFID, UN (WFP and UNICEF) agencies and other corporate entities.
