Food for the Hungry (FH Association) ¡s an International Christian Relief and Development Organization that works with Churches, leaders and families in responding to God’s call to end human suffering and graduating communities from extreme poverty.

FH seeks to recruit a Resource Development Director for Africa Region based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Responsibilities

The Post-holder will lead the region in public grants acquisition with a focus on multilateral and non-US Government bilateral grants.

He/she will also provide support in reporting and donor compliance for all public grants. Within the framework of FH’s Vision and Mission, the primary result of this position is to work towards a multi-faceted Community Transformation program.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in development studies or related field, five years’ experience in resource development, strategic planning and execution, proven experience of building donor relationships as well as a track record of leading significant successful proposals.

Additionally, he/she will have a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and Christian commitment to serving the poor and in full agreement with FH’s Christian foundation, have leadership, project management and planning skills, ability to negotiate with national and international governments, non-governmental organizations and community groups in a culturally acceptable as well as professional manner.
