Food For Education Senior Procurement Associate Jobs in Kenya;The Senior Procurement Associate leads and manages the procurement function of the Food for Education Foundation (F4E).

The role ensures procurement activities are cost‑effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals, while driving continuous improvement, supplier management, and supporting cross‑functional initiatives such as warehouse efficiency and menu re‑engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Leadership

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with F4E goals.

  • Analyze market trends to anticipate procurement needs.

  • Contribute accurate demand planning data to prevent stock‑outs and overstocking.

  • Time procurement of key inventory items to capture cost savings.

  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.

    Supplier Relationship & Contract Management

  • Lead supplier prequalification, engagement, and contract negotiations.

  • Establish KPIs to monitor supplier performance.

  • Maintain vendor diversification (minimum 3 active vendors per category).

  • Oversee contract administration and compliance.

  • Collaborate on vendor impact storytelling for organizational reporting.

    Outsourced Services & Consultancy Management

  • Support vetting and due diligence of outsourced providers.

  • Maintain register of active outsourced engagements and flag renewals.

  • Monitor outsourced provider performance against deliverables.

    Operational Oversight & Compliance

  • Supervise day‑to‑day procurement operations.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.

  • Coordinate internal audits and prepare reports for senior management.

    Team
    Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor the procurement team.

  • Identify training needs and provide professional development opportunities.

  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.

    Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization.

  • Leverage technology and ERPs to streamline operations.

  • Promote sustainable procurement practices aligned with F4E’s social responsibility goals.

    Menu Re‑Engineering

  • Provide procurement input into F4E’s termly menu development cycle.

  • Guide menu options using market trends, seasonal availability, and regional preferences.
