Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair, has a vacancy for an Operations Analyst at our head office in Bonaero Park. The successful applicant will report to the Executive Manager: Flight Operations/PRFO.

Responsibilities:

Operations and Business Process Management

Performing requirements analysis and documenting processes;

Conduct a variety of quantitative and qualitative analyses to support sustainability solutions.

Provide subject matter knowledge and problem-solving abilities;

Duties include gathering company information and statistics i.e. Engine performance data.

Through the use of technology the Analyst will be responsible for driving costs and fuel efficiencies through process optimization and waste reduction:

Understanding and auditing of fuel purchase records, working with procurement teams to identify optimal fuel network opportunities, and working with operations, technical and IT to maximize savings;

Support fuel related initiatives such as benchmarking or fuel surcharge analysis;

Identify initiatives to either reduce fuel spending or enhance fuel efficiency;

Implement strategies for risk mitigation;

Develop and maintain relationships with various vendors

Research and Analysis

The research and analytical work will be mainly conducted in cooperation with other team members as part of the larger project;

Monitor and perform focused research, analyse and report developments and recommendations;

Interpreting gathered data;

Submitting reports to the relevant department heads and management;

Identifying patterns and trends in the analysed

data;

Helping the management and other teams draw business goals and needs;

Formulating procedural manuals for relevant departments.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree or related field combined with 3 years of experience working in relevant positions or industry;

Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills;

Experience in Aviation Industry would be considered an advantage;

Expert knowledge on subject matter is essential improvements required.
