Flour Equipment Operator General Foreman - Excavation Jobs in Uganda

Leads one or more teams of Equipment Operators and performs work as an Equipment Operator, as needed. Allocates equipment and personnel based upon project priorities.

Communicates effectively with client, project personnel and team members. Coordinates proper maintenance and repair of assigned equipment. Ensures safe work practices and compliance with safety requirements at all times.

Completes all necessary administrative requirements and performs duties of subordinate personnel as required. May operate single axle dump trucks, dual axle dump trucks with automatic and manual transmissions, loaders, graders, compactors, dozers, excavators, backhoes and bobcats.

Large dirt projects, road maintenance/repair, ditch excavating experience preferred. Ability to be proficient in operating more than one piece of equipment.

Experience needed for excavations around utilities. Checks equipment condition and reports major mechanical issues; performs minor or emergency repairs, if needed.

May train less skilled workers in operation and care of equipment. Performs manual labor or other duties as necessary.

Supervision Exercised:

As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
