Fireside Engineering Group Lead Fiber Technician Jobs in Kenya
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Telecommunication, Fiber Optics or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding of fiber network concepts.
Proficiency in fiber handling and maintenance.
Strong problem‑solving skills and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Lead field teams in fibre installation, maintenance and fault restoration.
Install and terminate fibre optic cables and network equipment.
Diagnose and resolve fibre network faults within SLA.
Ensure work meets technical and safety standards.
Observe Health & Safety guidelines and ensure quality assurance.
Supervise assistant technicians and submit job completion reports.
Educate clients on basic troubleshooting and answer fibre‑related queries.
Collaborate with technicians and NOC personnel; report to field supervisors.
Conduct fibre link faulting and resolution within SLA.
Perform fibre splicing, troubleshooting and testing with OTDR and optical tools.
Provide timely updates on fibre faults to NOC personnel.
Ensure excellent customer service to clients.
Perform other duties as assigned.
