Responsibilities

  • Development of the annual Company budget; assist in the review and validation of the annual Company budget; create a variety of spreadsheets, documents, and graphs; assist in preparing the final budget document for approval by Directors.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information; Trial Balance.
  • Perform a variety of professional accounting functions supporting Company operations; maintain accuracy of general, revenue, and expenditure ledgers and subsidiary financial systems.
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information; Book Keeping
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports; Income statement
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents;
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures;
  • Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations;
  • Prepare Monthly payroll credits and ensure that all statutory deductions have been forwarded to the relevant authorities. PAYEE; NSSF; NHIF
  • Following up on payments from Debtors and managing creditors
  • Review and audit all accounts payable, purchase orders, invoices, payment vouchers cash receipts, business licenses, and other accounting records and transactions; ensure money is posted to correct accounts and that all accounts balance both in Nairobi and
    Juba.
  • Correct GLs
  • Ensuring all outgoing payments of utility bills are done on time
  • Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends; Prepare bank and MPESA reconciliations and related journal entries for a variety of accounts.
  • Preparation of the Annual Financial Statement
  • Banking TT RTGS Transactions

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Finance/Accounting Option), CPAK or any related discipline
  • Must have at least 2-3 years of experience in Accounting and Finance Administration
  • SAP and other Financial/Accounting System experience will be treated as added advantage
  • Ability to be self-motivated with a positive attitude and a solid work ethic
  • Willingness to work with a dynamic and fast paced result focused team
