Position Description

  • The M&E Lead works closely with the Program Management Team, which may include (but may not be limited to), the Team Lead, Deputy Team Lead, and the Senior Operations Manager (including Finance)

  • The Management Team is responsible for developing and managing the workplan; developing the interventions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders in the regions/districts; managing and ensuring technical delivery; managing and ensuring appropriate monitoring and reporting and feedback loops into the program; responsible for managing relationships in the different districts and or school communities; ensuring appropriate communications and knowledge management both internally within the project and with external stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

  • The M&E Lead is responsible for the program’s M&E strategy and management and will provide technical leadership and oversight of ME&L activities to ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency.

  • S/he will ensure that ME&L activities are aligned with MOE Evaluation Policy, and that periodic reports (oral and written) are made to MOE.

  • S/he will advise on the design of research activities relevant to EOF.

  • S/he will oversee the program’s quality assurance and the capacity building interactions of EOF with all partners.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelors, master’s degree preferred, in Statistics, Economics, public policy, international development, or related field.


  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with progressive responsibilities.

  • Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, research, management information systems, reporting, data quality, assessments, data analysis and presentation,

  • Experience monitoring and evaluating education and/or development projects.

  • Excellent facilitation, oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated technical writing skills for publication.

  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with host-country
    counterparts in both the government, university, and NGO sectors is desirable.

  • Experience working in West Africa is highly desired.

  • Proven supervisory experience.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
