Basic Functions:

  • The Logistics Manager will be responsible for supervision of movement, distribution and storage of supplies and materials for the Education for Peace, Recovery, and Resilience Activity.

  • He/She will be tasked with planning routes, analyzing budgets, and processing shipments.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all logistical arrangements are within full compliance with FHI 360 organizational policies and US government rules and regulations.

  • Establishing internal control systems with regards to logistical arrangements.

  • Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes Assist with the bidding process by providing support for procurement transactions, analyzing them for conformity to specified requirements; assist in conducting appraisals and supplier selection in conformance to FHI 360 standards.

  • Maintain a close relationship with Procurement and Finance unit to ensure that payments are processed promptly and accurately

  • Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost

  • Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met

  • Perform
    metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements

  • Partner and communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers

  • Manage and develop capacity logistics Officer

  • Create and manage budgets

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles

  • Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.

  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.

  • Strong personal, time management skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent level of computer literacy.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics operations

  • Experience in an NGO environment would be advantage

  • Experience with U.S. government rules and regulations and experience working in an international NGO environment desirable

  • Working knowledge of logistics and inventory management software

  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage
