Farsight Africa Group AI Specialist Jobs in Kenya;Farsight Africa Technologies aims to digitally enable and empower last frontier markets by promoting technology adoption in politically vulnerable states.

The organization develops robust software and hardware solutions addressing automation needs in government services, including financial management information systems, tax revenue collection and administration, and public utility service provision platforms.

The AI Specialist will design, develop and deploy AI/ML solutions that power innovative products and services, ensuring solutions are scalable, ethical and impactful.

Objective

To design, build and deploy scalable, ethical and high‑impact AI/ML solutions that enhance Farsight Africa’s products and platforms, automate service delivery and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

AI/ML Development

Design, train and deploy scalable AI/ML models for diverse business use cases.

Integrate AI features into Farsight applications and platforms.

Research and apply state‑of‑the‑art AI methods (Generative AI, NLP, Computer Vision).

Data Engineering

Build data pipelines and preprocessing workflows for model training and inference.

Ensure high‑quality, well‑governed data for training, validation and evaluation.

MLOps and Deployment

Implement MLOps pipelines for continuous integration, deployment, monitoring and improvement.

Deploy models on cloud platforms using containerization and orchestration tools.

Monitor model performance and retrain or optimize as needed.

Responsible AI and Compliance

Ensure adherence to ethical standards, data privacy regulations

and industry best practices.

Identify and mitigate bias, security and privacy risks.

Documentation and Collaboration

Prepare technical documentation for models, data pipelines, APIs and deployment processes.

Collaborate with developers, project managers, analysts and clients to deliver solutions on time.

Qualifications

Academic

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Engineering or related fields.

Professional certifications in AI/ML, Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) or Data Engineering are an advantage.

Experience & Expertise

3–7 years’ hands‑on experience building and deploying AI/ML models.

Strong programming experience in Python, R or Java with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and Scikit‑learn.

Experience with NLP, Computer Vision, Generative AI or Recommendation Systems.

Background in data engineering (pipelines, APIs, SQL/NoSQL, big data frameworks).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience integrating AI into enterprise applications and APIs.

Understanding of MLOps best practices.

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of Responsible AI, Ethics and Data Privacy.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work in fast‑paced, collaborative environments.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
