Farmers Choice Limited Senior Production Manager Jobs in Kenya
Role Purpose
Lead production operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective and high-quality manufacturing processes that consistently meet production targets and customer demand requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets and customer demand requirements.
Optimize labour productivity, raw material utilization, product yields and manufacturing costs.
Monitor and control overtime, staffing levels and shift operations to improve operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance, hygiene, HACCP, GMP and occupational health and safety standards.
Coordinate equipment maintenance activities and minimize production downtime, wastage and product rejects.
Lead, coach and develop production teams, ensuring accountability and achievement of performance targets.
Monitor production KPIs, prepare performance reports and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Planning, Stores and Dispatch teams to ensure seamless production operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or a related field.
Experience
Minimum fifteen (15) years of relevant production experience.
At least three (3) years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strategic and results-oriented leadership with strong accountability and execution capabilities.
Advanced production planning and capacity optimization skills.
Strong operational excellence experience within high-volume food manufacturing environments.
Commercial acumen with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Ability to optimize production costs, yields, labour productivity and resource utilization.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Commitment to food safety, quality assurance, employee development and continuous improvement.
Experience in meat processing, FMCG manufacturing or similar high-volume food manufacturing operations is a strong advantage.
Sound knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety systems, production planning, cost control, yield management and labour productivity.
