Job Description

Internal/external Vacancy Announcement

Job Summary :

Be accountable to overall success and realization of the objectives of the SRHC clinic in Adolescent Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights as specified in Strategic Plan (SP) and Annual Program Budget (APB).

Be responsible to the overall success of the Youth Center Clinic as site of learning, research and community based outreach services.

Responsibilities & Tasks :

1. Plans organizes , participate, co-ordinates and controls in the development of the activities of the Adolescent and Youth program,

2. Initiates policy and technical guidelines with respect to the YCs;

3. Coordinates and works with other staff to ensure that the Strategic Framework/Plan is established, implemented and maintained effectively and efficiently in a cooperative and team spirit;

4. Ensures and provide quality and integrated SRH service including CAC are deliver in the youth friendly facility and community based services;

5. Ensures that the YC serves as a springboard to further strengthening community based and out-reach services through availing diagnosis and treatment of STDs, testing and counseling on HIV/AIDS, and other SRH services through community and clinic based approaches;

6. Ensures that the YC serves as site for learning and demonstration of new and innovative intervention and research activities by developing training packages, standards and conducting training programs for other NGOs, private and government sectors;

7. Facilitates adolescent and youth program activities in the youth center and community outreach sites.

8. Actively work in capacity building and development initiatives for youth and ensure the quality of youth friendly services standard;

9. Maintain update data management of clients and case stories and act as a learning center;

10. Participate in project proposal development;

11. Ensure the adherence of guidelines and standards for management of youth friendly centers, Wise Youth
Action Movement (WYAM) in collaboration with the volunteers Affairs & Training Officer;

12. Regularly conduct youth friendly services and client satisfaction assessments/survey,

13. Supervises the adherence to guidelines and standards for management of service outlets services;

14. Organize/provide training and capacity building initiative on ARH related program activities;

15. Provide comprehensive, youth friendly and quality SRH information and services to adolescent and young people.

16. Prepares Annual APB, Work plan, periodic Progress Report and submits with quality reports to Area office timely;

17. Participate at Area level Joint Supportive supervision and submit regular trip reports;

18. Supervises the adherence to guidelines and standards for management of service outlets services;

19. Provides library, documentation and recreational services to support youth program activities ;

20. Regularly Perform performance Evaluation Appraisal for subordinates with development plan;

21. Performing such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • MPH/MA/MSC/BA in Nursing ,medwifery , Public Health

  • 3 years experience for MPH/MA/MSc of which must have a minimum of one year experience after graduation or 5 years experience for BSC/BA after graduation , shall posses an extensive experience in same or similar position in the NGO sector or puplic/private hospital /speciality clinic or SRH clinics .

  • Knowledge of the SRH service provistion and health care management , planning ,corordinating and controlling skill of SRH service ,managing hospital /especiality clinic
