Family Bank Ltd System Integration Officer Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a System Integration Officer to design, develop, implement and maintain integration solutions that enable seamless interoperability between banking applications, digital channels, third‑party systems and external platforms. The postholder will apply technical expertise in integration technologies, APIs and middleware to deliver secure, reliable and high‑performing solutions supporting Family Bank’s digital transformation objectives.

Responsibilities

Integration Development & Implementation

  • Design, develop and implement integration solutions using ESB, SOA, REST APIs and Microservices.

  • Build and configure API connections, message routing and data transformation workflows.

  • Develop and maintain integration specifications, API contracts and documentation.

  • Participate in technical design reviews and ensure compliance with architecture standards.

  • Implement integrations in line with CI/CD and version control standards.

  • Conduct unit testing before QA handover.

    Integration Support & Maintenance

  • Monitor integration platform performance and resolve issues proactively.

  • Provide Level 2 support for integration incidents within agreed SLAs.

  • Maintain and patch middleware, API gateways and message brokers.

  • Perform housekeeping of queues, logs and dashboards.

  • Escalate complex issues to the System Integrations Manager.

    Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and execute integration test plans including end‑to‑end and regression tests.

  • Collaborate with QA team for formal system and UAT testing.

  • Identify, log and resolve integration defects.

  • Verify post‑deployment performance in production.

    Security, Compliance & Documentation

  • Incorporate
    authentication, authorisation, encryption and audit logging in all integrations.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams and runbooks.

  • Ensure compliance with CBK regulations and ICT policies.

  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing.

    Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Monitor emerging integration technologies and recommend improvements.

  • Participate in Proof‑of‑Concept exercises for new tools.

  • Contribute to automation of deployment and monitoring tasks.

  • Engage in team knowledge‑sharing and professional development.

    Requirements

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.

  • Integration or middleware certification preferred.

    Experience

  • 2–4 years in system integration or API development.

  • Experience with ESB, SOA or API platforms.

  • REST and SOAP API development experience.

  • Integration testing and defect resolution.

  • Banking or financial services experience an advantage.
