Family Bank Ltd Solution Architect Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a Solution Architect to design and document technology solution architectures that meet business requirements, comply with Family Bank’s Enterprise Architecture standards, and deliver secure, scalable and cost‑effective outcomes. The postholder will work closely with project managers, business analysts, QA teams and integration engineers to translate requirements into well‑defined designs aligned to the Bank’s technology roadmap.

Responsibilities

Solution Design & Documentation

  • Design and document end‑to‑end solution architectures for ICT projects.

  • Produce HLDs, LLDs, decision records, data flow diagrams and integration specifications.

  • Evaluate alternative options and recommend appropriate architectures.

  • Ensure designs are reviewed and approved by the Solution Architecture Lead.

  • Maintain and update architecture artefacts post‑implementation.

    Enterprise Architecture Alignment

  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture framework and standards.

  • Flag deviations and contribute to architecture repository maintenance.

  • Apply reference architectures and design patterns.

    Project & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Translate business requirements into technical architectures.

  • Collaborate with integrators, developers and QA teams.

  • Participate in project meetings, design reviews and workshops.

  • Provide technical guidance during build phase.

  • Present designs to governance forums.

    Security & Compliance

  • Incorporate security controls and compliance requirements.

  • Coordinate with Information Security team for
    reviews.

  • Ensure compliance with CBK regulations and ICT policies.

    Change Impact & Continuous Improvement

  • Assess architectural impact of technology changes.

  • Contribute to improvement of standards, templates and methodologies.

  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends.

  • Participate in knowledge‑sharing and professional development.

    Requirements

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.

  • TOGAF, Cloud and ITIL certifications an advantage.

    Experience

  • 3–5 years in solution architecture or systems design.

  • Banking or financial services technology experience preferred.

  • Integration and API architecture expertise.

  • Exposure to cloud and hybrid deployments.

  • Experience producing architecture documentation.
