Family Bank Ltd Relationship Manager - Public Sector Jobs in Kenya
Job Summary
Drive business growth within the Public Sector Banking Commercial Division through acquisition of new business, portfolio expansion and management of relationships across government institutions, parastatals and development agencies.
Implement public sector business development initiatives, maximize revenue opportunities and ensure delivery of innovative banking solutions while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and risk management standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop business opportunities and monitor business activities in line with the Bank's long-term strategic and annual business plans.
Identify and respond proactively to changing market conditions and public sector customer needs.
Provide input and recommendations for public sector business strategies aimed at growing market share and maximizing departmental revenue.
Conduct regular customer visits to the National Treasury, government ministries, parastatals, donor agencies and development partners to identify funding opportunities and priority projects.
Identify opportunities for portfolio growth and business acquisition through market research, analysis and professional networking.
Develop and maintain a target market database of prospective public sector clients.
Execute structured sales and relationship management programmes to generate banking business.
Drive strategic marketing initiatives focused on enhancing competitive advantage and delivering customer value.
Create, communicate and deliver banking solutions that meet customer, shareholder and partner expectations.
Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) guidelines and relevant provisions of the Banking Act.
Implement customer value propositions while managing operational, credit, reputational and people risks.
Conduct regular site visits to existing clients to assess business conditions, collateral adequacy and customer relationship opportunities.
Monitor loan facilities to ensure timely repayments and maintain Portfolio at Risk (PAR) within acceptable limits.
Follow up on delinquent accounts and escalate problem facilities for appropriate intervention.
Facilitate sealing, stamping and dispatch of charge documents, undertakings, contracts, discharges and related legal documentation.
Support stakeholder engagement and relationship management
across the public sector ecosystem.
Experience
Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the financial services or banking sector.
At least five (5) years of experience in Relationship Management within Public Sector Banking operations.
Proven experience managing and growing profitable banking portfolios.
Experience in credit evaluation, loan portfolio management and public sector business development.
