Family Bank Ltd Quality Assurance & Testing Officer Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a Quality Assurance & Testing Officer to design, document and execute testing strategies that ensure Family Bank’s technology solutions are secure, scalable and cost‑effective. The postholder will work closely with project managers, business analysts, developers and integration engineers to validate solution designs, conduct testing and ensure compliance with the Bank’s technology roadmap.

Responsibilities

Solution Testing & Documentation

  • Design and document test plans, cases and scripts for ICT projects.

  • Produce QA artefacts including test reports, defect logs and validation records.

  • Evaluate alternative testing approaches and recommend improvements.

  • Maintain QA documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

    Enterprise Architecture Alignment

  • Ensure testing processes comply with Enterprise Architecture standards.

  • Flag deviations and contribute to QA repository maintenance.

  • Apply established testing patterns and frameworks.

    Project & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Translate business requirements into test scenarios.

  • Collaborate with developers, system integrators and QA teams.

  • Participate in project meetings, design reviews and workshops.

  • Provide technical guidance during testing phases.

  • Present QA findings to governance forums.

    Security & Compliance

  • Incorporate security and compliance checks into all test plans.

  • Coordinate with Information Security team for reviews.

  • Ensure compliance with
    CBK regulations and ICT policies.

    Continuous Improvement

  • Assess impact of technology changes on testing processes.

  • Contribute to improvement of QA standards and methodologies.

  • Stay current on emerging testing tools and industry trends.

  • Participate in team knowledge‑sharing and professional development.

    Requirements

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.

  • QA/Testing certification (ISTQB or equivalent) preferred.

    Experience

  • 3–5 years in QA, testing or systems design.

  • Banking or financial services technology experience preferred.

  • Integration testing and API validation expertise.

  • Exposure to cloud and hybrid deployments.

  • Experience producing QA documentation and reports.
