Provide strategic leadership, product innovation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to enhance the bank’s impact in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute the bank’s agribusiness strategy, aligning with corporate goals and market dynamics.

Portfolio Management

Oversee a diverse agribusiness portfolio including dairy, horticulture, livestock, and renewable energy for agriculture.

Sustainable Financing

Lead initiatives to provide affordable credit to agribusinesses, focusing on climate resilience and eco‑friendly practices.

Partnership Development

Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with development organizations, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.

Product Innovation

Spearhead the development of tailored financial products that address the unique needs of agribusinesses.

Risk Management

Implement robust risk assessment frameworks to ensure portfolio quality and compliance with environmental and social standards.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing agribusiness team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Market Intelligence

Monitor industry trends, policy changes, and technological advancements to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Finance, or related field.

Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Minimum of 10 years in banking or financial services, with at least 5 years in

agribusiness financing or related sectors.

Deep understanding of agricultural value chains, climate‑smart agriculture, and rural finance.

Proven track record in leading teams and managing cross‑functional projects.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders.

Key Competencies

Strategic thinking and ability to implement long‑term growth strategies.

Financial acumen in analysis, credit risk assessment, and portfolio management.

Capacity to introduce innovative solutions addressing sector challenges.

Skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship building.

Adaptability to navigate a dynamic agricultural landscape.
