Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Landscape & Environment Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

Supervise the Grounds department and ensure all standards are followed

Maintain the overall upkeep and presentation of the property; with attention to the plant health of all flowers, lawns and trees

Supervise the planning and planting of all flowers, seeding/growing new plants, and transplanting them into garden beds

Apply fertilizer and pesticide on a periodic basis, recording each application

Operate power tools and equipment, using proper personal protective equipment as required

Assist in the training of all Grounds Colleagues

Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs

Follow department policies, procedures and service standards

Follow all safety policies

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous Ground experience required

Experience and knowledge of Irrigation systems preferred

Certification/diploma in a related discipline preferred

Valid driver’s license required

Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Highly responsible & reliable

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast

paced environment

Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to):

Frequent standing and walking throughout shift

Frequent lifting and occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs

Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, standing

Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa Requirements: Eligible to work in Kenya
