Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Cluster IT Manager Jobs in Kenya; Reporting to the Cluster Hotel Manager, the Cluster IT Manager is responsible for operational IT management, relationship management with hotel leadership, compliance with Accor IT policies, and strategic IT planning. The role ensures secure, reliable IT operations across hotels, covering hardware, software, security, and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operational IT and relationships with Hotel GMs, EXCOM, HODs, and business‑critical users.

  • Plan and budget IT expenditures in compliance with Accor IT policies.

  • Create business cases to justify IT investments and expenditures.

  • Provide regular status reports on hotel IT operations to Cluster GM and VP IT.

  • Initiate and manage IT projects; advise Cluster GM on strategic IT matters.

  • Ensure hotels work with Accor hardware partners and escalate hardware issues when needed.

  • Oversee hardware including computers, servers, routers, switches, cables, PABX, POS devices, UPS, and related components.

  • Ensure compliance with Accor IT policies and guidelines.

  • Guarantee use of original, licensed software per IT management requirements.

  • Maintain relationships with software providers and escalate issues as needed.

  • Restrict user access to only necessary programs.

  • Provide and maintain IT training programs in coordination with Learning & Development.

  • Ensure compliance with Accor IT Security Policy and General Data Protection.

  • Manage backups of all relevant user‑generated data and enforce backup policies.

    Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a five‑star hotel.

  • Strategic thinker, results‑driven, process‑oriented, and detail‑focused.

  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams.

  • Excellent communication, listening, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to build rapport with business partners and intermediaries.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Strong decision‑making skills, calm under pressure, and able to prioritize workflows.

    Physical Aspects of Position
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift.

  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.

  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
