Export Promotion Council Manager, Partnerships Jobs Opportunities in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Identifying , securing and fostering financial and in-kind support from partners, including
    corporate sponsors, trusts and foundations, private donors or philanthropists and government;
  • Managing and enhancing existing relationships, and building new relationships;
  • Administering of the Customer Relations Management System (CRMS)
  • Identifying and packaging partnership opportunities;
  • Undertaking campaigns targeting prospective development partners;
  • Strengthening mutual collaboration links with committed development partners;
  • Publicizing the mission and role of EPC in the sector and the nation with the purpose of
    motivating collaboration and cooperation;
  • Developing fundraising strategies, negotiation and management of fundraising agreements
    with financiers;
  • Developing of effective means for handling funding transactions involving development
    partners and target beneficiaries;
  • Initiating linkages with stakeholders to promote export promotion;
  • Preparing and presenting proposals for grants to meet the needs of export promotion.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: Micro or macroeconomics, Commerce,
    Business Administration, International Trade, Planning or any other relevant and
    equivalent discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Masters degree in any of the following disciplines Micro or macroeconomics, Commerce,
    Business Administration, International Trade, Planning or any other relevant and
    equivalent discipline from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience five (5) of which must have been in
    a senior management position in the public or private sector;
  • Certificate in Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized
    institution;
  • Proficiency in computer applications;
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of national goals, policies and development
    objectives and ability to align them to EPC policies and programs.

    Export Promotion Council Manager, Strategy and Performance Management Jobs Opportunities in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Establishment and implementation of a Monitoring and Evaluation framework for the
    Council’s programmes, projects and activities;
  • Providing technical support to council staff in planning and monitoring of ongoing
    activities;
  • Coordinating development and implementation of the Council’s Service Delivery Charter;
  • Developing and implementating effective risk appraisal and measurement tools;
  • Spearheading ISO Certification;
  • Developing and implementating corporate ethics and anti-corruption framework.
  • Managing trade flow analysis for the benefit of exporters and policy makers;
  • Coordinating implementation of Strategic Plan and EPC annual performance contract
  • Coordinating cascading of performance contract and monitoring implementation progress
    quarterly.
  • Liaising with Human Resource Management for coordination of annual performance
    appraisal exercise by all departments

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience five (5) of which must have been in a
    senior management position in the public or private sector;

    Statistics, Planning, Commerce, Business Administration, International Trade or any other
    relevant and discipline;

    Export Promotion Council Manager, Research and Advocacy Jobs Opportunities in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the undertaking of applied market research in East Africa / European markets
    for the benefit of exporters;
  • Disseminating research findings to all stakeholders;
  • Coordinating
    the preparation of budget of the section in consultation with the Chief
    Manager;
  • Analyzing constrains in sector identified in the National Export Strategy and diseminating
    findings in stakeholders forum;
  • Prioritizing research projects and funding;
  • Ensuring implementation of research findings;
  • Coordinating, monitoring and evaluation of research projects;
  • Coordinating publication and disemminating of research findings;
  • Representing EPC in trade policy and research meeting
  • Reveiwing Trade agreements and preparing briefs for policy interventions;
  • Coordinating activities of Trade Point in collaboration with manager E-trade; and
  • Secretary to Specific sectoral panels and in charge of developing the sector positional
    papers in liasion with respective units

    Qualifications

  • Served in the grade of Principal officer, Reasearch and Advocacy or in a comparable and
    relevant position for at least three (3) years;
  • Bachelors degree in any of the following: Economics, Statistics, Planning, Public Policy or
    any other relevant and equivalent discipline from a recognized institution;
  • Masters degree in any of the following: Economics, Statistics, Planning, Public Policy or
    any other relevant and equivalent discipline from a recognized institution;
  • Proficiency in Statistical Package for Social Science and any other relevant statistical
    package;
  • A minimum period of ten (10) years relevant work with at least five (5) years’ experience
    in a supervisory capacity
  • Membership in a professional body

    Responsibilities

  • Development and implementing of HR strategies, policies and practices and coordinating
    human resource initiatives aimed at achieving EPC strategic objectives.
  • Management of the terms and conditions of service including recruitment, promotions,
    personnel emoluments and review of the same.
  • Designing human resource plans for career progression and succession management and
    maintaining optimal staffing levels.
  • Facilitating and coordinating implementation of the performance management system for
    high performance culture;
  • Overseeing training needs assessment and organizing appropriate intervention programs
    for staff training and development
  • Facilitate the development of organization structures that provides a system of well-coordinated
    functions and relationships for realization of Council’s objectives.
  • Mainstreaming, implementing, sensitizing staff on Government policies on Gender,
    Disability, Alcohol and Drug Abuse, HIV/Aids, National Cohesion, National Values and
    Principles of Governance

    Qualifications

  • A post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution
    Membership to a Professional Body eg IHRM or relevant recognised institution
  • Masters Degree in Human Resource Management/ Development/ Planning, Business
    Administration or Public Administration or equivalent from a recognized institution;
  • A minimum period of ten (10) years relevant work at least five (5) years’ experience in a
    supervisory capacity.
  • Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized
    institution;
  • Certificate in Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized
    institution
  • Membership to a Professional Body eg IHRM or relevant recognised institution
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Demonstrated competence in work performance.
