  • In order to support the growth of its M&A team in Belgium, they are looking to recruit a (Senior) Manager with focus on deal origination and execution and who is able to add value throughout the entire transaction process.

    Role

  • As (Senior) Manager you will be providing M&A transaction services while demonstrating a high level f expertise across the entire M&A transaction lifecycle. You strive to help clients to ensure that deal objectives and value targets are met.

  • This can involve a.o. advice and assistance with: corporate strategy and opportunity analysis, pre-deal evaluation, deal structuring and execution, exit strategies, leveraged buyouts, valuations and fairness opinions.

  • In addition, as a member of the Deal Advisory management team, you will be co-responsible for the origination and development of new business opportunities and the further development the Belgian corporate finance franchise.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

    The role will focus on the execution and delivery of sell-side or buy-side engagements and the key responsibilities can be summarized as follows:

  • Managing the successful delivery of sell-side and potentially buy-side transactions, thereby meeting high-quality standards, including all aspects of people and client relationship management with minimal supervision

  • Being a reliable point of contact for C-level client contacts, developing and sustaining strong and long-lasting client relationships and understanding of their broader business needs

  • Providing advice and being recognized as a trusted advisor through the quality of own work, and by using your skills, experience and understanding of corporate finance transactions
    inspiring, developing, leading and motivating team members and staff by acting as role model and sharing experiences and knowledge

  • coordinating and interacting with other disciplines such as management consulting, transaction services, tax, legal or risk and the pro-actively leveraging the wider
    international network as required

  • assisting in growing the business through the origination of new opportunities and proposal development with both existing and new clients

  • contributing to Practice development through the deepening of functional knowledge and insight; the expansion of in-depth expertise; codification of best practices and development of new services, tools, methodologies and staff competences

    Required Experience/Qualifications

    Ideally the candidate should have following functional and technical skills and experiences:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of transaction experience in executing and advising on M&A deals in either an investment bank, a reputable corporate finance boutique, a strategy advisory firm or potentially a corporate development role in a multinational environment

  • Astrong technical knowledge with proven competency in investigative analysis of the business and sectors, valuation principles and techniques, financial modelling and financial analysis

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions

  • Exposure to or familiarity with both Equity Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance transactions is considered an asset

  • Strong and proven project management skills are essential

  • Proven experience and involvement in business development

  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Engineering
