Role PurposeManagement of the capital project programme across the Mining Services Region.
Lead & Manage projects and engineering teams, ensure good governance, project process and hazard study process is applied for all projects.
Establish, balance, monitor, and control the Capital programme in order to achieve strategic business objectives.
Key Accountabilities

Capital Management & Optimisation
Business improvement (delivering the savings, governance and process)
Regional engineering support
Cost centre management (CFC budgeting and forecasting)
Regulatory and Statutory compliance of assets delivered by project team
Compliance of project delivery top company's project process and SHEC requirements (HS)
Skills and Competencies
The Programme role uses knowledge, experience, and leadership effectively to align the programme’s approach with the organisation’s strategy, improve the delivery of programme benefits, enhance collaboration with stakeholders, and manage the programme life cycle.
Specifically this includes:
Alignment and governance of the Mining Services project teams to ensure projects achieve the required business objectives.
Lead the planning, design and implementation of projects. Monitor, document and report to key stakeholders on the progress and performance of projects within the programme.
Strong execution focus. Proven ability to work autonomously and lead project teams.
Serve as primary point of contact and stakeholder interface for all projects within assigned programme, developing strong relationships and managing stakeholder expectations.
Commercial acumen in the development of cost effective and robust project delivery and engineering solutions to meet stakeholder requirements. Management of supplier/contractual relationships.
Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with emphasis on effective team work and personnel development.
Ensure key project personnel are appropriately trained in project management principles and company governance processes.
Ensure compliance with project governance processes and procedures, ensuring that they are applied universally across the programme.
Ensure adequate engineering support is continued throughout the Mining Services region

Financial
Typical projects that need to be managed will vary from tens of thousands of dollars to multiple millions of dollars.
Primary customer contact for project delivery.
Critical Experience and Qualifications
Degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience. Post graduate qualifications in a management, programme/project management, business or other relevant discipline highly regarded.
10+ years in the management of capital projects in industry.
