Executive Sous Chef as a second key personnel in the Kitchen next to the Executive Chef, will contribute to menu creation and managing and training of the Kitchen brigade to deliver an excellent Guest & Member experience while managing food cost controls.
Specifically, be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Contribute to menu creation
Manage and train the kitchen brigade effectively to ensure a well-organized and motivated team
Ensure consistency in quality of dishes at all times
Manage customer relations when necessary in the absence of Executive Chef.
Ensure resources meet business needs through the effective management of working rotas
Support brand standards through the training and assessment of your team
Manage food cost controls to contribute to the revenue
Knowledge of activities in other departments and implications
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards (HACCP)
Diploma or B.A Degree Graduate in Food Preparation, Culinary from a recognized local or International hotel school.
Certification from a Known International Culinary Institutions is an advantage
5 years' Relevant hands on experience in Food Preparation out of which minimum of two years as a Sous Chef in big hotels locally or abroad
Strong Sous Chef Experience with an Excellent approaches food in a creative way
Strong supervisory skills and Positive attitude
Good communication skills and posses key leadership qualities
Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
Excellent grooming standards
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Willingness to learn and train others with passion
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings
