Overall role

  • This position of consists of Collection, collation, analysis, presentation, display and utilization of public health emergency preparedness and response data.

  • She/he will assist data management processes to track performance and inform the public health emergency preparedness and response efforts.

    Duties and Responsibilities of Technical Assistance

  • Must be conversant with survey design and questionnaire development and with data management programs, such as PowerBI, ArcGIS, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, R, Epi Info etc.

  • Strong skills in interpretation of program monitoring and evaluation data are required.

  • Strong skills with interpretation of analytic and programmatic data are required.

  • Strong skills in the interpretation of program monitoring and evaluation data are required, including the ability to understand and synthesize numerical data.

  • Strong report writing, and verbal dissemination skills are required.

  • The position requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, including the ability to communicate and coordinate with different national and International Organizations

  • Communication and coordination with internal and external response partners

  • Develop an assessment and scoring tool

  • Support regions on the data management to develop the PHEOC core capacities

  • Organize and ensure regular, valid and complete data collection related to the PHEOC and COVID-19 plans

  • Develop and maintain a system and procedures for generating quality reports for informed decision making and resource allocation

  • Assist the development and implementation of the capacity building activities (including training, mentorship and support supervision).

    Work Environment

  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as well as normal daytime hours.

  • Able to sit in front of and work on a computer screen for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to work in high pressure, stressful situations at the PHEOC and field mission.

    Job Requirements

    Education Qualification requirement

  • MPH in Field Epidemiology or General Public Health Master

    Required Skill & Experience

  • 6(six) years and above Public health emergency management(PHEM) or in similar role is required.

  • Basic PHEOC training is mandatorily required, intermediate and advance PHEOC training is highly preferable

  • Excellent training facilitation skill

  • Good computer skills

  • Supervisory or leadership experience in a public health emergency management is preferable

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Organized, able to prioritize and work independently

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good leadership and managerial skills.

  • Must have good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and active listening skills

  • Have excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.

  • Good organizational skills are essential.

  • Good computer skills and knowledge of basic technology to be used in the PHEOC and public health emergency response.

  • Must have strong analytical skills.
