Job Summary:

The feed business manager is responsible for directing and overseeing, sourcing, inventory controlling, manufacturing, sales, distributing and overall administrative activities of the feed business unit.

Key Functions


  • Ensures quality control manual and procedure is in place.
  • Selects and approves reliable, consistent and genuine of feed raw material suppliers.
  • Prepare based on the sales and production of chicks forecast, prepare purchase planning.
  • Conducts different training and development activities to subordinates when and wherever needed.

    Inventory Management

  • Ensures that there is adequate level of raw materials in store.
  • Ensures that inventories are handled properly and safely.
  • Ensures that there is a
    proper system of controlling of inventories while receiving and issuing.
  • Create minimum inventory level and reorder amount for each feed raw materials.
  • Create minimum inventory level for finished feed based on the demand forecast.

    Manufacturing / Processing

  • Ensures that products are produced according to standard.
  • Prepare quality control system for manufacturing, like mix timing.
  • Make sure GRN and ISSUE vouchers are in place.
  • Ensures a smooth and continuous supply of utilities, labor.
  • Ensures the readiness of milling machines for proper production all the time.
  • Devises proper production control systems.
    Formulation optimization.
  • Management of production efficiencies (reducing utility, labor, packaging, downtime, etc)

    Product pricing.

  • Gross margin management (protecting our target 25% gross margin of all products)

    Distribution/ Sales

  • Conducts feed market research.
  • Prepares future demand and supply forecast of feed.
  • Delivery and dispatch to internal customers and 3rd party customers (layer feed, broiler feed, “non-agent feed”)
  • Achieving sales target for non-breeder/ agent feed

    Qualifications and Requirement

  • Degree in economics, agriculture or related fields.


  • 5 years and above experience
